Susan Winston Joins Prominence Treatment Center Staff

Prominence Treatment Center welcomes Susan Winston to our staff as an in-house psychotherapist.

We pride ourselves on the world-class staff we’ve assembled at Prominence Treatment Center. Adding Susan Winston was an easy choice for us once she became available. Susan has a straight-lined approach to therapy. She goes straight to the core of her patient’s problems, helping them move toward their own solutions. Winston has over two decades of experience with those who struggle with substance abuse, eating disorders, and other addictions.

Susan Winston’s experience includes countless hours of pro-bono work at the Saban Free Clinic of Los Angeles, where she specialized in counseling high-risk clients facing trauma, homelessness, and joblessness.

In addition to her long career in psychotherapy, Susan Winston is also an accomplished television producer, director, and writer. She is a member of the Writer’s, Director’s, and Producer’s Guilds of America. Her work in entertainment often combines both her writing skills and background along with her years of experience in health and well being. Winston won an Emmy for her work covering the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics. She has also served as the Executive Producer of Good Morning America and the CBS Morning News.

Susan Winston boasts an impressive educational background, which our clients will benefit from immensely. Winston holds a Bachelors of Arts in Communications from Northwestern University and a BA in English at the University of Pennsylvania. She also graduated from Philips Graduate Institute ‘s program in Co-occurring Disorders. Not to mention, Susan Winston earned her MS, MFT, Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pacifica Graduate Institute.

Susan is a published author, having written for such publications as the New York Times, LA Times and Huffington Post. She also blogs for Psychology Today. It is her dedication to not only the practice of psychotherapy, but also thought leadership in her field that makes us so excited to have Susan Winston on board.
