Family Therapy For Addiction
Family First – Family Therapy For Substance Abuse
Addiction doesn’t just affect an individual. Addiction negatively impacts the entire family.

Addicts fail to realize they are not the only ones who suffers from their addiction—so do their families. Too many addicts don’t realize the impact of addiction and the family. Family, employment, school and other responsibilities suffer from addiction.
The impact from an addict’s dishonesty and erratic behavior can deeply damage relationships. Prominence Treatment Center’s Family Therapy Addiction Program is designed to address family relationships along with treating substance addiction.
Prominence Treatment Center provides a substance abuse family therapy program that includes:
Family Therapy Sessions
- Family Alcohol Abuse Recovery
- Family Substance Abuse Recovery
- Addiction education
- Going Over:
Also…
- Codependency group sessions
- One-on-one therapy sessions
Staying in Contact
We feel it’s important for individuals to remain in contact with their friends and family during their family therapy substance abuse treatment. If possible, we like families to participate in as many of the family addiction counseling services we offer as possible.
- Saturdays offer a multi-family group where both family and addict can attend group together.
- Family members have access to our psychosocial education
- Residents have cell phone access and Internet usage during their residential stay.
- Family members can dial in or Skype to join sessions
For Family Members
The Family First Program was created in order to aid individuals and their family during treatment.
Our goal is to:
- Show that family therapy and substance abuse go hand-in-hand
- To teach family members that they are not the cause of the problem
- Empower family to be instrumental in their loved ones’ recovery.
- Focus on re-building family relationships.
Help is near. For both the families of alcoholics and drug addicts. There is no reason to live under the strain of addiction when codependency therapy and the family addiction recovery process is one phone call away.
