Prominence Treatment Center

Alcohol Drug Rehab

Health & Nutrition in Recovery

Prominence Treatment Center offers a 30 to 90 day residential addiction treatment program, that is non 12 step in nature.  To augment our result oriented rehabilitation program, focused physical fitness and body awareness provides the final component in our non 12 step based behavioral therapy program.

The fitness aspect of our treatment program includes but is not limited to: yoga, gym workouts, swimming, biking, hiking, walking, therapeutic outings at museums, restaurants and shopping. For those who can not commit to an inpatient stay with us, we offer an outpatient program too. Please call one of our counselors today for more information.

Nutrition and regulating the brain chemistry go hand in hand. We learn how to eat healthy meals for optimum energy and well being. Diet and exercise will now play a key role in how we live. We learn that what we are eating, or in many cases have not been eating, is directly and seriously effecting how we feel. We learn that when we have proper nutrition in our lives, it will assist in diminishing the cravings and impulse to abuse drugs or alcohol. This does not happen over night, however as we begin to feel better, we build on that success. One successful day leads to another, which leads to a successful week, then a successful month and so on. There is power in beginning.

Drug and alcohol abuse has depleted the natural feel good receptors in the brain. Good nutrition is a vital component to feeling well, however most of our clients have neglected this for quite some time. Our chef prepares delicious and nutritious meals each day for our patients. Additionally, we discuss food, food choices, and nutrition while our patients learn how to integrate healthy eating into their own personal lives.
