Family Program

Family First

Family ProgramAt Prominence we fully understand the impact that addiction has on the families and loved ones of the addict. We know that the healing process for each individual and their family starts upon admission to a treatment program. We also know that family members or loved ones may be suffering due to the addiction. In order for an addict to heal, we believe, the family and friends should be involved. We provide family sessions, family education, co-dependency groups and one on one session with our therapists.

Staying in Contact

While individuals are in treatment we know it is important for individuals to remain in contact with their loved ones and friends. As part of our foundation we have implemented a “family first” attitude. This means that individuals staying with Prominence have access to cell phones and internet throughout their stay at the residential house. We also strongly encourage family and friends to visit any time during the week (with an appointment). In addition we conduct family outings that enable individuals to come back to the center with their loves ones in order to strengthen their own bond as well as strengthen their commitment to recovery.

For Family Members

This is a crucial and significant time in your life. If your loved one is thinking of going to treatment or is currently in treatment, you are fully aware of the affects that addiction can have on addicts as well as their loved ones. The emotional scares are numerous. At Prominence Treatment Center, we understand the importance of family participation in long term recovery. Your participation is essential in the healing process of your loved one. The Family first Program was created in order to aid the addicted individuals and you. We strive to teach family members of the addict that they are not the cause of the problems and while they cannot cure their love one, they can ultimately help them. Each individual is requested to take part in a work shop geared towards familial relationship building.
